Global People Director – Sail GP
Jon is Global People Director of Sail GP, one of the highest profile and fastest growing developments in the sports industry in recent years.
He has an outstanding track record of strategic and organisational development in the sector working with major national governing bodies and global events including the London 2012 Olympic Games and the 2015 Rugby World Cup. At both organisations he was part of the senior leadership team from the outset of the projects involved in the planning, delivery and review of two of the top three global sporting events.
His work with both the Rugby Football Union and the Lawn Tennis Association involved devising and delivering the corporate development strategy across all business functions. In his current role Jon is responsible for the strategic direction and operational growth of Sail GP which encompasses multiple international teams and events.
By providing a support network and development opportunities for current and future leaders within the sport industry we will see some real lasting differences to the lives of individuals in the industry. We all face the same challenges, but sometimes approach them from different angles – I feel across the sport industry we need to start taking more inspiration from others and doing things differently, and the PBSL will certainly help every member to do this.
