The new partnership will provide members with coaching, mentoring, training and support to aid career progression.
The Professional Body of Sports Leadership (PBSL) and Pro Sports Assembly (PRO) have today formed a strategic partnership to provide new career progression opportunities for current and aspiring professionals in the sports industry internationally.
Representing current and aspiring leaders in the influential and rapidly growing sports industry, United Kingdom-based PBSL and United States-based PRO provide on-going development opportunities through educational courses, coaching and mentoring, networking and training programmes focussed on the forward-thinking advancement of diverse and inclusive leadership.
By joining forces and forming a strategic partnership, the two organisations will provide their members with reciprocal benefits and jointly develop new leadership programmes, content, and training courses to support career advancement.
The PBSL and PRO will also explore opportunities to work with sports organisations and commercial partners including rights holders, venues, agencies, support services and brands to develop their in-house teams and advance the positive societal impact that sports has worldwide.
Tom Sears, Founder and Chair of the PBSL, said:
“Our new strategic partnership with PRO will provide greater support for professionals working in the sports industry through combining our forward-thinking and inclusive approaches.
“By working together, the PBSL and PRO can provide career development services to any individual or organisation throughout the sports industry. Our combined experience, expertise and knowledge will further enhance the levels of support available to individuals and organisations in the industry, while creating new opportunities.”
Laura Dixon, President of Pro Sports Assembly, said:
“This partnership with PBSL provides PRO with the international footprint necessary for our members to grow their knowledge base and advance their career in a more comprehensive and accelerated manner. We look forward to joining forces with PBSL to build a value-added network of support and resources, which we expect will someday see a lot more overseas roles and opportunities for members of our two organizations.”
